Digital Craft
Catholic University School of Architecture and Planning
Fall 2005 601 & 603 Digital Fabrication Studio.
Designed and built in one semester by 15 graduate students at the Catholic University of America School of Architecture and Planning. The purpose of the studio was to study the idea of "craft" in a digital design-build environment while providing a new office space for student organizations in an existing a student lounge in the Crough Center for Architecture at the university. The project was fabricated using CNC technology and made plywood and titanium. Special thanks to JP Muller, President of OEC Engineering, for his generous assistance and support of the Digital Fabrication iniative at Catholic.
